LAVA

I must be getting lazy, I am still just playing catch up. Should call this... my life in pictures. We recently went to Lava Hot Springs with my sisters and their families. Here are a few photos. I should post one my sister took of me jumping off the highest platform, but I do not post pictures of myself in a swimming suit. Glad she got a picture, because it won't be happening again.

MS Bike Ride

Erik recently rode in a 40 mile bike ride to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. The boys and I had fun watching him cross the finish line. We are really proud of him. He did great, especially considering that he had no time to train for it. Next year he may be doing 100 miles.

This is Grady, the son of our friends Gus and Chalyce.

Happy Birthday to Ben and Me, Finally...

Obviously, I am behind on posting. We are having a fun, and very busy summer. I will just have to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Ben had a great day. We had presents, dinner at Buca Di Beppo and cheesecake. Turns out Ben is not a fan of cheesecake, he also is not a fan of birthday cake, next year we are going to have birthday slurpees, or I may follow Trish's lead and just get him a big box of bagels.

Happy #5 Ben!

Today is Ben's birthday and we are excited to have a five year old. Here is a memory from last year when he turned four.

More to come later.

Disneyland!

We are back.   Actually, we were back quite awhile ago, but I am pretty slow.  We had a GREAT time at Disneyland.   It was a good time to go, not to crowded, perfect California spring weather, and boys of all the right ages.   I was glad that Nick loved Space Mountain (also my favorite ride) and we went a zillion times.   Everyone loved Buzz Lightyear.  Ben like the Jungle Cruise the best, and Zach loved everything.   I was worried he might not enjoy it, but he loved watching everything and going on all the rides.    He did not love the characters we saw.   He would push them away with both hands if they got too close.    We got to have breakfast at Goofy's kitchen.   We had a minor earthquake, which we didn't feel, although it seems like everyone else did.   It even put the Indiana Jones ride out of commision the next day, which was okay with us.  Ben was too short and Nick hated, I repeat HATED it.   Despite some rotten chicken in the condo, some stomach flu or carsickness (not sure which) on the way down, I wouldn't change a thing.   We had a great time.   We were long overdue for a family vacation.   Ben kept saying look everyone it is our whole family!!!   Here are some of our favorite pictures...

Laura Pausini and James Blunt

I have loved Laura Pausini since Erik introduced her to me and I also like James Blunt.   They have a great music video together and it is free on itunes right now!   Everyone should download it today.

Artists in Training

I have been trying to get my basement organized for quite some time and it is finally starting to come together.    I decided to make the downstairs kitchen into an art/craft room.    My mother-in-law generously provided us with this great easel and helped me sort all my stuff into these cupboards we swiped from my parents storage unit.   I believe they used to be in my dad's  office.

They kids have enjoyed using it, and are down there fairly often.  It will be fun to have Erik teach them a few of his tricks.  We won't be selling art work just yet, but start saving your money.   I am sure we will be cranking out the masterpieces soon!

I cannot wait until it actually feels like spring, but I do love Utah's mountains when they look like this:

We Love TEMPLES and Cabela's!

This is a bit late, but I finally uploaded all my pictures.   We were able to go to the Draper Temple Openhouse on March 5.   It was a great experience.   I am so glad the kids were able to go into the temple and experience a small portion of what is inside.   Ben loved the font and the oxdes.   Nick could not stop looking at the chandeliers.

And then of course we were only 5 minutes from Cabela's.   Which my kids speak of with reverence.   Hardly daring to ask if we were actually going to go inside.    Who needs Disneyland when you have Cabela's.  (at least that is what we tell them... doesn't work)

It was a great family day for us!
